Africa Energy Indaba 2026: Official Update on Ministerial Participation

I would like to share a key update on the progress and profile of the Africa Energy Indaba taking place from 3-5 March 2026 in Cape Town.

We are pleased to confirm the attendance of the following high-level government leaders:

Confirmed African Energy Ministers:

  • Senegal – H.E Birame Soulèye Diop, Minister of Energy, Petroleum and Mines

  • South South Africa – H.E. Dr Kgosientsho Ramokgopa, Minister of Electricity and Energy

  • Uganda – Hon. Dr. Ruth Nankabirwa Ssentamu, Minister of Energy and Mineral Development

  • Somaliland – H.E. Eng. Ahmed Jama Barre, Minister of Energy and Minerals

  • Kenya – H.E. Alex Kamay Wachira, Permanent Secretary, Ministry for Energy

  • Nigeria – H.E. Adebayo Adelabu, Minister of Power

 

Confirmed African Union Participation:

  • H.E. Ms. Lerato Mataboge, Commissioner for Infrastructure and Energy – African Union Commission

In addition, further Ministerial confirmations are expected shortly.
